Technique Spotlight
|
| |
This month I am continuing with the embossing techniques I
started last month. The added twist is that embossed images are
great for resist techniques. I will show you two ways to use
clear embossing powder to resist added color with dramatically
different results. The Techniques this month are called:
- Embossing Watercolor Resist
- Modified Joseph's Coat
|
 |
Embossing Watercolor Resist
|
|
In this technique, an image is embossed using clear embossing
powder. Color is then added on top of the image with a
Watercolor Wonder Crayon. The color is evenly smoothed out with
an Aquapainter and then the excess color is removed with a paper
towel.

Modified Joseph's Coat
|
|
In this technique an image is stamped in a light color on
neutral card stock. A bold image is embossed over top with clear
embossing powder. A brayer is used to cover the entire project
with a darker color. Excess color is wiped off with a paper
towel and the lighter pattern will show through the embossed
images.
