| Instructions: I am showing this technique using a rub-on. You can also use a stamped image. Stamp the image in craft ink and then use clear embossing powder and a heat tool to set the image. | ||||
|
|
Start with a piece of acetate that is twice the size of the rub-on. You only need to do this if you are adding the glitter step. Your piece of acetate can be the same size as the rub-on, if you are skipping the glitter.

Use a bone folder to crease the acetate sheet in half. Push hard, to create a definite fold.

Lay your rub-on over the acetate and use the stick provided to transfer it to the surface.

Carefully cut around the image. You need to hold tightly to the acetate, so it doesn't slip while you cut. When you finish you will have two matching acetate pieces.

Carefully put some Crystal Effects on the plain piece of acetate, making sure to leave about 1/8" around the edges. Sprinkle with Dazzling Diamonds glitter and then shake off the excess. Press the piece of acetate with the rub-on on top. The crystal effects will adhere the two pieces together, trapping the glitter in the center. Allow to dry completely.
|
It is difficult to attach the acetate piece to your project without the
adhesive being seen. Brads are a good option or use a button/accent piece to
hide a mini glue dot. The So Saffron star hides a dimensional on my card. Here is the finished card. |
