Using Punches to Spotlight an Image

Instructions:

Crumple up a small piece of saran wrap. Remove a petal from the box of petal point chalk pads and apply it directly to the saran wrap. Always start with the lightest color first.

Dab a sheet of Whisper White card stock with the saran wrap, picking up more color as needed. Allow each color to dry momentarily before moving on.

This is what your Whisper White cardstock will look like after applying three different colors. The colors used to create this background are Olive Pastel, Burnt Sienna, and Yellow Ochre.

These are all part pf the Earths/Regals Petal Point Chalk Pad assortment. (These are located on p. 222 of the 2005-2006 Idea Book & Catalog)

Here is the finished card. This is a quick and easy technique to create a masculine background. The chalk pads also have a very soft appearance.
