Envelope Gift Card Holder

Instructions: For this project you will need a Medium envelope, 21" of ribbon and two pieces of cardstock that are 2 1/2" x 4".

Stamp all over a medium Whisper White envelope. Stamp on both the front and back.
Find the center of the envelope by folding it in half and just making a small indentation at the bottom. Use this mark to fold the two sides into the center. Use a bone folder to make the creases very crisp.
Open up your envelope and repeat folding the edges to the center. Again, use a bone folder to make the folds crisp. You can also fill in any blank spots on the inside or edges of your envelope with more stamping.
Slip one of the 2 1/2" x 4" pieces of cardstock into the envelope pocket. This will be the piece that the gift card is attached to. You can use a slit punch to make slits the card will slide into or you can use a mini glue dot or pop-up glue dot to attach the gift card.
With the two edges folded in, fold the flap of the envelope down. Again, use the bone folder.
Attach the other 2 1/2" x 4" peice of cardstock to the front of the folded up envelope. Attach only to the flap. If you adhere the cardstock to the entire front, then the holder will not open.
Here is a view of the opened holder, with the front cardstock attached.
Wrap the ribbon around and tie in a bow. Use SNAIL or a mini glue dot to attach the ribbon somewhere hidden. I attached mine behind the snowman.
  Here is the finished project.
Here is another sample made by Valerie Perry. There is an image of the outside and the gift card holder opened.
