Customized Embellishments
Hodgepodge Hardware

Instructions: Our Hodgepodge Hardware is a wonderful accent for scrapbook pages and other projects. The Styled Silver and Styled Vanilla are beautiful neutrals, but sometimes it is fun to play with color. The metal accents are very simple to customize with any of our 48 colors.

I started with an Antique Brass piece of Hodgepodge Hardware. This finish is retired, but I am coloring it anyway, so does it really matter?
Use a sponge dauber to cover the entire surface of the metal with Craft ink. I used Basic Black.
Here is the covered piece, but we need to seal the ink. The Craft ink will rub off the metal if we don't seal it with embossing powder.
Cover the hodgepodge with Crystal Clear embossing powder.
Heat with the heat tool until the powder melts and seals the craft ink in place.
Here is the finished piece on the scrapbook page.
Here is the finished 12 x 12 layout with the three customized embellishments.
