| Instructions: This original technique is named after Joseph's coat of many colors from the Bible. I tend to prefer a bit more subtle color in my projects, so have have modified this to use a more monochromatic color palette. Also, in the original technique you use black ink with the brayer and I wanted to avoid staining my brayer attachment. | ||||

Start by stamping a background stamp or repeated image on neutral cardstock. For this technique any type of cardstock will work. I have used Whisper White. You want to make sure that the ink is completely dry before you move onto the next step or you will get embossing powder stuck in places other than the Versamark. Stamp your image in Versamark and emboss with Clear Embossing powder. | |||

Use a brayer to evenly coat the entire surface with ink. You need to use a color that is significantly darker than the color you used originally for the background. Wipe excess ink off of the embossed images. | |||
| Here is the finished project. The paisley background showing through the simple hearts provides this card with an adorable focal point. | ||||
