| Instructions: Letterpress plates are another fabulous way to incorporate the Big Shot into your paper crafting. They can be used for cards or scrapbooking | ||||

Here is what a basic plate looks like. There are also some smaller plates that are better sized for cards, though this plate is great for a card front.

Craft ink is required to use the letterpress plates. We sell all of our colors in Stampin' spots which are the perfect size for holding in your hand and inking the plate. It is also easier to omit sections of the plate image with the smaller spot, instead of a full sized ink pad.

Ink the plate by pressing the surface of the Stampin' Spot directly onto the plastic.

If you get ink on any section that you don't want, just use a baby wipe to remove it.

The plate all inked up and ready to go. The craft ink stays wet, so you don't have to rush.

Lay the Letterpress plate directly onto TAB 1 of the Multipurpose platform.
You do not place a cutting mat underneath. Place your cardstock on top and then use a new or slightly used cutting plate on top. A very scored up cutting plate will leave marks in the image. |

Run it through and here is the finished image. Make sure to allow it to dry for a few minutes before working with it further.
