Using Lumiere to Paint with Pearl Ex

Instructions: Pearl Ex is a powdered pigment, so you need to mix it with something to use it as paint. Lumiere is a liquid medium that does not add color, but adds addition shine. Lumiere is fairly thick, similar in consistency to Elmer's Glue, so I generally add some water to thin it out. I mix 1 part water with 1 part Lumiere and then add Pearl Ex powder.

I save all of my plastic containers. This is a container that once held eyelets. It is perfect for creating a palette of our Pearl Ex colors. Going clockwise, I used Bright Yellow, Super Russet, and a mix of Super Bronze and Silver (to create a brown) Pearl Ex.
Then it is simply a matter of painting with Watercolor brushes to fill in the image. You need to stamp the image using StazOn ink to make the ink does not run when painting. Here is the finished project. The scan does not truly show how shiny the image is.
