Mini Gable Box

Instructions: This small box is perfect for dressing up a small holiday treat and it only uses one sheet of cardstock, so it is very economical to make.

Start by scoring the 11" side of the cardstock at 1/2", 3 1/2", 5 3/4" and 8 3/4".

Turn 90 degrees and score the 8 1/2" side at 3" and 6 1/2".

Cut off the two of the 1/2" flaps on the side, leaving the center 1/2" flap.

Cut each score line to the intersecting score line to create the side flaps.

Flip the cardstock over. If you wish to stamp the box, do it now. I left mine plain.

Place a piece of sticky strip on the 1/2" flap. Leave the red backing attached.

Flip the cardstock back over the place sticky strip on the alternating flaps as shown. Leave the backing on.
Use the Jumbo oval punch to punch out the handles of the box.
Optional: Use a corner rounder to round the corners of the two tabs that will be the handles of the box.
Remove the backing from the sticky strip on the 1/2" flap and fold that strip into the box creating a tube.
Take the two long narrow strips that have sticky strip, peel off the backing and fold them into the box to provide extra stability.
Here is a view into the top of the box once those two flaps were folded down.
Now finish the box by folding up the bottom. Fold the two smaller flaps in and then peel the backing off sticky strip on one of the larger flaps. Fold that flap over the smaller ones, holding them in place.
Finish the bottom by peeling the backing off the sticky strip on the last flap and folding it onto the other flap.
Here is the finished box. I used the crop-a-dile to punch the holes for the ribbon.
