Creating frames using punches

Instructions:

Card made by Becky Schmertman
To create this fun frame, a 2 inch white aluminum metal edge tag was covered in Cool Caribbean ink using a Stampin' sponge. The wrought iron punch was then used to punch all four corners of the tag. A hobby blade was used to cut the few remaining bits that were not punched out by the wrought iron punch.

In this sample, the black frames were created by punching a piece of cardstock first with the 1 1/4 inch square punch and then with the 1 3/8 inch square punch. This creates a very thin, square frame. This technique can be used with any two punches of varying sizes to create frames of different sizes and thicknesses.
