Retiform (Grid Technique)

Instructions: I don't really know where the name of the technique comes from, but it is a modified version of Reverse Masking that provides stunning results.

Start with a neutral piece of cardstock. I used a temporary adhesive to attach it to the grid paper, so it would not slide around. I also used the grid paper to mark the center points of both sides of the cardstock.
Use scratch paper to cover all but one corner of the cardstock. I lined my scratch paper up with the lines I drew, but you could also create a free-form look and just choose an angle and go for it.
Use a sponge dauber or stampin' sponge to ink the section of the cardstock.

A light color will work best so the stamping in the later steps will show up. I chose Pink Pirouette, one of the new colors from the 2008-2009 In Color family.

Repeat for all 4 corners. You can choose to use all one color or mix it up like I did.
Cover up all but one corner again and stamp with a shade darker ink. I choose Pretty in Pink.

Repeat for all four corners.

Fill in the center with an image and embellish.
Here is the finished project.
