Reverse Poppin' Pastels

Instructions: To create this effect, you must use a dark color of cardstock. Black is most effective, but you could experiment with Night of Navy or Handsome Hunter, etc. Use a sponge dauber to apply Stampin' Pastels to the entire surface of the cardstock. You need to apply the color in a thick layer. You can use one color, or create a gradient of color. I have used Pink Passion and Pixie Pink Pastels, though this is barely obvious in the scanned image.

Stamp your image over the color area, using a Versamark ink pad. Wherever you stamp, the Stampin' Pastels will be removed leaving the cardstock color showing through.

To create the pink ribbon, I colored a piece of black gingham ribbon with a Pink Passion Stampin' Write marker and let it dry for a few minutes.
