Santa Top Note Box Front

Instructions: These instructions are just for the box front. Click here to go back to the basic box instructions.

Here are the pieces you need: 2 Blush Blossom Top Notes, 1 Whisper White Top Note cut in half, 1 Real Red small Pennant, 1 Pink Pirouette small oval, 1" circles punched in Pink Pirouette (2), Whisper White (3), Blush Blossom, 3/4" circles punched in Whisper White (7), Blush Blossom, 1/2" circles punched in Basic Black (2)
To finish the hat, attach the 3/4" Whisper White circles to the brim and then fold over the top and attach one 1" Whisper White Circle.

Note: When I ran this through the Big Shot, I did not punch out the entire small pennant. I folded the cardstock and placed it 4 scallops down from the point to create a smaller triangle.

To start creating the face, cut about a third of the Pink Pirouette oval off. Lay it in the center of the top of the half Whisper White Top Note.
To create the mustache, after you run the Whisper White cardstock through the Big Shot with the Top Note Die, keep the negative image. Place the negative image back on the die, but slide it up about a half inch. Run it through the Big Shot again, and the mustache will be created.

Attach the mustache with a dimensional.

Lay the 3/4" Blush Blossom circle on top of the mustache to create the nose.
Create the eyes by attaching the 1/2" Basic Black circles on to the 1" Whisper White circles. Cut the 1" Blush Blossom circle in half to create the eye lids and then attach with dimensionals.

A sparkle was added in the eyes using a White gel pen.

Assemble all of the pieces to create Santa's face.
When you attach the front and back pieces to the box, only put adhesive on the bottom half of the Top Note, so that the top of the box can still move freely.

Here is the top view of the finished box.

Here is the front view of the finished box. I used Real Red gingham ribbon to tie this box, because it matched the hat.
