Instructions: If you are like me and love the new Scallop Square
punch, you will love this simple way to create a perfect mat for your
punched image. For this example, the Lilac square is the image that needs the mat and the Basic Black will be used to create the mat. |

|
Start by punching out your image and one whole square of your mat color. Then punch three additional pieces from the mat color that are two scallops high.

Take one of your partial pieces and attach it to the right hand side of the complete square, overlapping one scallop. You can see that the mat is now one scallop wider.

Now attach another partial piece to the bottom of the mat, overlapping one scallop. Now the mat is one scallop higher, but we need to complete the last corner.

Attach the last partial piece lining it up with the corner. This last piece
will overlap the previous piece quite a bit. Flip your mat over, because the bottom side has less visible lines. |

Here is what the mat looks like behind the regular sized scallop square.
