Creating a Treat Pouch

Instructions: You can easily change the size of this project. You just need to start with a square. I used the Square Scallop Die for the Big Shot, which provides a square that is 4 3/8" on each side. I would not recommend going much smaller, but you could definitely go larger.

Start with a square. If you want to add scalloped or decorate edges, do it now.
Score your square. First divide the square into 9 equal parts by scoring twice in one direction and the rotating the square and scoring twice again.

Then score a diagonal line from the corner to where the score lines intersect. Repeat this four times, once for each corner.

TIP: I find that it is easy to do the straight scores using my cutter with a scoring blade. I think it is easier to use a bone folder or stylus and a ruler to do the diagonal score marks.

Fold along all of the long straight score lines.
Fold the diagonal score line away from you.
Punch a hole in each corner. I used the 1/8" circle punch.
Thread a ribbon through the holes. (I used 12" of ribbon for this project)
Pull the ribbon tight and then tie a knot to secure the pouch.

This pouch is the perfect size for Hershey kisses and you do not need to put them in before creating the pouch. You may want to fill before pulling the ribbon tight, if you are using something larger as a treat.

Here is the finished project filled with goodies and with an added tag.
